I am just your average Witch. Not in the bad sense of the word. I'm actually a practicing Wiccan. I was raised this way and am raising my three children the same.
Many of my beliefs come from various places along the Path of what most term as the Occult. Call it Paganism, Kemeticism, Druidism and a lot if 'isms they all make up the beliefs I hold dear.
I am a dreamer of dreams and a seeker of visions. I have spoken to the man in the mountain, and praised the Goddess in the clouds. I was gifted to see pieces of tomorrow and blessed with seeing lifetimes of the past.
My interests are as varied as the wind and as simple as the earth. I am a witch, a descendent of the Fae, and a believer and neighbor to the "Little People" who still reside today.
Say what you will of me, it matters not, for I am a daughter of the Goddess and under her divine protection.
Be Like Nike.... JUST DO IT! I have found in my personal path, from asking other followers of both the Pagan and Wiccan path, from living amongst family in the Native American path that there is one thing that stands out above all!!
It has to work for you!
Following this path is an adventure in learning and understanding! The Goddess is a giving and loving mother who demands our respect and homage, but accepts our initial bumbling attempts with the love of a mother with an infant.
She understands the desire to do what "others" have written as "THE WAY" and our mistakes or over compensation in attempting perfection. Through all of this she still loves and nurtures us.
I remember once searching the earth it seemed for black candles. Finally I colored a dark green one with a permanent black marker. I achieved the needed results and have now learned that perfection is a trait of the deities, not the human race.
No matter what position we may hold, Shaman, High Priest, etc.... we cannot achieve the perfection of the Goddess in her perfect and unconditional love for us.
So do not worry if everything is not according to whomever's book. The Goddess does not love them more because they are published. Keep permanent markers and white candles on hand.... HA HA But most of all, enjoy, feel the love, and accept the calling of this sacred path. Remember.....
True faith comes from the sincere worship and community with the God and or the Goddess. Being "certified" on the Path or of the "Craft" requires study and the practice of many things over a period of time. While I agree that witchraft, the craft alone, is not a religion, it is not just a practice either. It is a way of life. A choice of Paths and futures. A Path of true unconditional love, honor and respect, for both mankind and the world around you. While I consider myself a witch, a worshipper of the Old Ones and a follower of their teachings, I am no different from the pious xtian who follows that Path as seriously as I follow mine. We are both servants to our deity (or deities in my case) and striving to be worthy of their unconditional love. To live a life that shows our beliefs and glorifies our deities through our words and actions.

Ritual Prayer for Guidance
I ask for peace
For Divine correction
If my path and words
Are up for question
If I have misled
Or been liar
I beg for judgement
I deserve the fire.
I seek a reason
To go on with life
A reprieve from
The pain the strife.
I am yours to guide
Wherever you choose
I am your daughter
And yours to use.
As a tool or teacher
As a witch or wanderer
As a mother and daughter
I am for you to alter.
Lead me me where
I need to be
Show me what
I need to see.
For As I Will,
SO MOTE IT BE!

The Path of the Earth Witch
Hearing the Chants of all Living Things
The Path of the Earth Witch
One with the Earth, the Earth Witch feel the strength she receives from the sun. The cooling from a breeze. The quenching of her thirst from a shower and her joy in a storm. Seeing all living and growing things around her boosts her spirits and allows her a peace within her soul. Each season brings with it new things. The new life in spring, when all plants and creatures alike are lifting their heads to the light of the sun. The summer is a time of revel and glory in the warmth of the sun and the longer days. In autumn, a time of celebration, for the Earth has again provided an ample harvest for those who tend her. The winter, a time of sleep and renewal of energy. When all creatures slow down and take their rest.
An Earth witch is rooted, yet like the willow, she must be flexible with the winds of other’s ideas and feelings around me. It is her calling to remain grounded, to stay and listen by the fire to the hopes and ideas of others. To give advice when it is sought, and remain quiet when it isn’t.
The Earth witch is a teacher, leading by example, not by lectures. It is her calling to speak the truth when asked, knowing at times the truth may hurt, but doing so with the love of a mother for a child and trying to teach the lesson that the truth shall set you free. The Earth witch suggests calmly and rationally, being able to explain herself well and show with examples the why’s and wherefores. She is the one who gives the ideas to those who are the writers and poets. She will guide, but loosely and watch as her student toddles off alone. Standing firm when they have need to come home for comfort and love.
The Earth witch is a kitchen witch. She is at home in her kitchen and creates with herbs and ingredients an edible painting, completed with love and joy. She is happy in her garden, be it an herb garden or one which supplies the table as well. She is content when her larder is full, her herb cupboard stocked and her family healthy and well fed.
The Earth witch is a very frugal witch. She makes rather than buying. She is a saver, but not a packrat. She runs a tight ship whether it be her home, office or her altar. Everything has it’s place and it can almost always be found there.
The Earth witch is strong. She must be to withstand her sister elements in all their glory. She is a base for all to come together in harmony. She may be battered and beaten, but when the winds have calmed and the rains have put out the fire, it is the Earth who is there and calls her sisters together. She is an anchor, so rooted that home and her heart are joined. When the Earth witch is forced to move, her turmoil and pain can be felt by any who come near her, though she will not speak of it aloud. To harm the Earth witch, the quickest course is through her family and home.
The Earth witch has a fast and at times sarcastic sense of biting humor. She sees what others may miss in their constant movement. She can be judgmental and may not always encourage those who wallow in their despair instead of moving onward. The Earth witch can be harsh with those who come to her pretending to ask for advice, but wanting sympathy for things they can change. Yet, when there is true trouble, pain or despair, it is the Earth witch who is there with the balms of love and energy. It is she who will comfort and console, go to circle before the Goddess and lift up the one who is in need.
The Earth witch is a believer in what she sees. She knows that words change with each telling. She is one who will confront, rather than accept. She puts all in her life before the Goddess for guidance and understanding. Her ability in divination is many times through scrying. Seeing in her sisters Water, Fire and Air what is to come, and what has been. She is linked to both the future and the past and is comfortable with each incarnation.
The Earth witch is at times very lonely. She may be respected or appreciated by what seems to be many, but she holds her true friends close, for they are few in number and remain a part of her life forever. She is loyal, and would lay down her life for one she loved. She knows that she stands level ground with all life, no greater, no lesser.

To the elements I call for love,
To the elements I call for breath,
To the elements I call for dreams,
To the elements I call for life.
I call on Water for love to be mine,
I call on Air for breath of life,
I call on Fire to understand the dream,
I embrace Earth, for I am her and she is me.
I call to Air to Fire to Water,
I call to my sisters three.
Rise up now of ye I ask
And come ye home to me.
Lift me up to fly to burn
To flow with river and stream
With that ye strengthen me,
And also set me free.
Free to Love to Live to Dream,
To embrace the world as mine,
Free to let my heart trust,
To hold my head up high.
I ask for a love, someone to hold,
Who walks the path beside me,
Who'll be there as we grow old,
To follow or to guide me.
For as I will, SO MOTE IT BE!

An example of a spell for healing
I cast a circle of salt and silver,
I light candles for the Lord and Lady,
I pray that time will not wither,
Nor make a love true be shady.
I lift my brother to the Goddess,
Ask for her divine healing,
Pray that he handles the stress,
So he can be again Kneeling.
In your praise and to your worship,
For the Lord and Lady true,
For he was born and bred to this,
And his blood come from the Fae, the few.
I ask for a blessing, for a healing,
I pray for strength to fight what may be,
I give my heart to you while kneeling,
For as I will, SO MOTE IT BE!*

To heal a broken friendship
A Candle Ritual
Needed:
2 white altar candles for the Lord and Lady
aligning astral candles for both parties
1 black candle
1 red candle
small sage smudge
bloodstone
Set your altar up with the two astral candles surrounded by the two white candles and the red and black candles. Inscribe the appropriate names on the astral candles. Surround with bloodstone. The annointing and inscribing of your white altar candles is up to you. Light the white candles giving praise to the Lord and Lady. Light your astral candle claiming it for you. Light the other astral clandle claiming it for the other party. Light the red and black candles. Light your smudge and repeat something similar to what is below as you circle the candles with the smoke. Repeat daily as needed.
I seek a friendship that now is lost,
To bring it back at high cost.
To kill the anger that now is there,
To set free the love, a soul then bared.
I offer bloodstone, candles and rhyme,
To take back what should be mine.
This I ask to ease my heart,
So that as friends we never part.
I send out this spell to stay with he,
Who has the power to set love free.
I open my heart and soul to he
For As I Will, SO MOTE IT BE!*
